I've got a smelting pot and mould in my garage,  just I've ran out of lead and sometimes time wise for me easier to just buy a few

Same here with the leads I was tempted to get a mould and what not though getting my hands on a bit of scrap lead would be the issue so I just order some of Ebay.

marked by the beddywhippet and a good head shot for a change.

Pulled a good shot off this morning probably a fluke in my case 😆 I spotted a squirrel up the side of the wood that was a fair distance catapult wise and hit it with anhead shot that just flipped it o

Little evening walk with a new bushing terrier shot a couple of geese and a squirrel too hot for anything else little 10mm leads are magic really enjoying them

PPMG? Had one years ago without clips, too wide for me and fork hits make a mess of the Ali. Saw a video of gkj using his, excellent shot, catty was covered in fork hits too.

Nice cattys, too big for the pocket though really. I hit the frame and the webbing between thumb and finger with mine, stung a bit.

Haven't shot mine for years , but haven't shot TTF for years either.  Like you say great catty but huge. I always found the handles cold to hold in the dead of winter.

Regarding frames what’s everyone’s sweet spot ? Mine is a 90mm , I can shoot 85 and 100mm but deffo sweet spot 90mm. Tbh there are some frames that I’ve bought that for love nor money can I shoot , I just don’t get on with them at all and a shame coz a nice frame. Same as shooting tubes over flat band , I just don’t get on with it. Tube seems a slower trajectory to me and I just don’t like it . Shame as again I have some nice small gypsy style frames but can’t shoot em .

90mm seems right for me, the best I've ever shot was a uniphoxx with light bands (87mm?). Too small and no good for hunting though. Struggle with tubes too. Prefer clips now too.

I seem to be a bit more accurate with the 95mm wasp apex and 9.5 steels. Never shot tubes but my mate swears by them on a millbro frame and he won't shoot anything else and his kill rate and accuracy is very good. My problem is with having a variety of frames is practising and using the one frame all the time.

I have never measured or known my fork size lol if it feels nice in the hand and hits what you point at that will do especially with nattys though I do tend to like smaller frames

No mate I,m just all wrong I hold the frame in the wrong hand and my elastics long so as long as my elastic touch,s the tip of my nose and I look along the elastic I’m good to go, move the anchor point up or down a few mil between frames if ness, just got a new scout put a tin on the fence for a few shots hit the fence in the same spot but bellow the tin lower a few mil and straight through the tin then two woodies on my walk I spent most of my life with stick forks which I guess just makes you adapt the milbro came out but we couldn’t afford one, so a two pence boot tongue pouch and two foot of elastic from the hardware and we were off lol
