My point is, I don’t think as ordinary men on the street we can be too partisan about it……both the U.K. and EU government don’t care less about us, it’s all about power and money. I think it’s a given that someone in the U.K. has a problem with having to make a customs declaration and be treated differently to anyone else…..of course they are going to feel aggrieved about that, same as bloke travelling from Dublin to Belfast don’t want to go through immigration just travelling in his own land. The only benefit out of it is to the revenue……and they are quiet willing to cause violence in pursuit of that mate.

You didn’t have to do that, then ye decided to leave the EU….which is cool….but now can’t have the advantage of being in….

Speaking from the position of an Englishman we just simply don't have any comprehension of the hatred that can turn such similar people against each other with such venom. Even at the hight of the troubles our interest and knowledge only went as far as 'ira bad'. We voted against the ridiculous situation where the EU and our historical enemies were ruling our lives. We wanted that to stop. I'm not saying it's good or positive but most of us over here just couldn't give a fck that different groups of Irish hate each other so much they would go back to the hell of the 80's and 90's and the troubles. Should we apologise for wanting brexit and go back on our decision? Sorry I don't have a solution for a bonkers situation

I'm a nationalist. I want a government that puts the English people first and foremost, then the rest of Britain. And I want every penny we pay to be accountable. I wasn't stupid enough to think brexit would give us that but I know we can't have that without brexit. 1

Nah, yeah fair. Even if Ireland wanted out, you’d never pal up with us for historic reasons. Any trade union would be seen as British oppression 2.0 unfortunately.

Two fingers to the peace process….. Brexiteers are also taking into to consideration the fact that they want to be able to deal with the EU the same as before without being the EU….so pushing the NI agenda to get what they want….it’s only going to get worse as views become more entrenched…..
