M25 Protests.

They are using a new tactic this morning; running in front of moving traffic on the M25 to make them brake.

This looks, to me, like a deliberate attempt to cause accidents.

Now, I don't mind if a few of them get flattened, but what about the drivers that may hit them ?

It could ruin their lives, but hey, what does that matter to these lunatics, as long as they get the attention they crave.......

Cheers.

But like throwing yourself in front of a horse to get the right to vote really ?

Exactly the same, the jockey that might get killed may just be a supporter of your cause.

Why not target the people you blame, rather than innocents, and harm your cause ?

Cheers.

Out of interest, has anyone looked up exactly what they are protesting about……I have.

I think their name gives it away Wilf. "Insulate Britain"

There could easily be a multi vehicle pile up causing multiple deaths and injuries.

Which means ?

I'm not a mind reader Wilf ?

The government DOES have schemes to insulate homes, as well as install more efficient boilers, thermostatic radiator valves, etc.

People get financial help, and if you are on benefits, it's free !

Cheers.

Lads, like many of you, I remember a time before “IF” & “Could be”……

I remember riding around the Kent countryside as a little kid in the back of pick ups and nobody batted an eyelid !

A time before 30 handed police checkpoints where a part worn tyre is treated like crime of the century and every possible disastrous scenario and outcome is trawled up as an excuse to just kick people…..it’s a f***ing disease and it’s one we help propagate daily.

I don’t need a risk assessment and a method statement to walk down the shop, I don’t need to consider that if I trip over a paving slab then what “IF” at that precise moment a car is coming past doing 32 in a 30 zone will he have enough time to stop “IF” I fall in the road…….I don’t need it and what’s more I don’t want it, it’s bollocks imho.

Now, the protestors…….in a country where plenty of us always complain about white British people being stripped of their rights in their own land how the f**k can we complain when a load of white British people choose to exercise their rights in their own land?…….or are their caveats ?……is it only the rights we care about for white British people that count ?

Because let me tell you, if theirs don’t count then ours don’t count….simple as that !

Now, what they are protesting about…..insulating government owned homes.

These homes are often inhabited by the very poorest, those people shouldn’t have to choose between eating or freezing this winter.

I wouldn’t give a f**k how late for work I was, I’d rather some OAP didn’t die of hypothermia or some little kid didn’t go to school hungry because they can’t afford the energy bill…..by the way, a bill that has already made people like my old mum who’s 90 over £100 worse off…..she’s lucky, she can afford it…..not everyone can.

Wholesale gas has increased from £40 to £160 !!

Im sure most will think all this is a load of old bollocks.

So, if I’m way out there and people think I’m mental I’ll just join in and say “Yeah, f**k em”……much simpler !

That's pure lunacy - surely they can be prosecuted for that.

........ makes you wonder when they'll start throwing concrete blocks off of the bridges.

The old bill will just have to close the motorway……just like they do whenever a very minor collision happens or a f***ing badger is wandering around in the road.

Wilf, you seem to be completely missing the point !

Im sure most people sympathise and agree with the aims of the protesters, but not with their method of protest.

Id have far more sympathy and even respect for them if they ran in front of government cars, glued themselves to the Prime Ministers plane, chained them selves to Downing Street gates, etc.

As it is, I reserve my sympathy for the woman who is still in hospital following the pile up, and the old woman who is paralysed because her son couldn't get her to hospital in time because of the protest.

You support their cause and their methods, I support their cause, but despise their cowardly methods.

Not much more to say, as we are already going round in circles.

Cheers.

With all due respect mate, I’d argue that’s it’s you that is completely missing the point.

However, there’s no rule says we have to agree and that is what polite conversations are all about ?

So keeping it simple......ruining peoples days, potentially causing people physical harm in order for a group to raise their public profile....is good now ?.......you seem to be taking some strange stands lately mate.

I’ll split that up a bit squire:

When it comes to ruining someone’s day I suppose it depends, all things considered, how much that person values that day against the rights and freedoms and the justification for exercising those rights.

My point is, we can’t complain about something if we ain’t prepared to let them complain about something as I’m sure you know.

We could all sit and think up various way they could do it that wouldn’t impact our lives but who then would care ?

Potentially isn’t actually, if it turns into actually then there are laws to deal with that.

Thats my way of looking at it anyway mate and I don’t see anything strange about it, however, that’s not to say it’s not strange ?
