downsouth 8,438 Posted April 10, 2021 Report Share Posted April 10, 2021 All this talk of doubling up.So you double up the younster gets bit by the fox which gets shook around by the older dog.surely the whole reason for breeding from tried and tested bloodlines is that the dog if allowed to mature properly should want to do it without having to be shown how.Do lads need to double up little 18lb terriers to show them how to do the job so why do lads feel the need to double up 60lb+ bull crosses.Maybe its just lads kidding themselves on how good their dogs really are that they need to be constantly doubling up. 2 Quote Link to post

I just run my youngsters day time with my older dog and mates , they enter when they want and cause the way we hunt the youngster really doesn’t tend to get there first and it’s all over they get there for a rag , because the way I kennel and keep my dogs the younger dog usually lives with the older one , they have a good bond so work together , I don’t know if there makes sense but it seems to work for me 1 Quote Link to post
