Family get together at ours, so a bit of a spread.. 13 hour cooked brisket, slow cooked pork shoulder.. Home made coleslaw, stuffing, roasties... and a 2 day hangover! Lol

Treat off my dad tonight, he's a friend on the fresh fish stall up town... Scallops and lemon sole fillets...

Slow roast pork loin for today, I know a lot of folks are not a fan of pork but I’ve tested it and it’s lovely 

also made myself a new carving board this morning while I was pottering around

Get it well oiled up with olive oil mate and it'll last a lifetime ;)

It’s had it’s first coat of mineral oil, I’ll leave it soak in for 24 hours then do it again 👍

Only me Stav,the rest on here are infidels,but that does look exceptionally nice and the chopping board looks the bollox for a decent kitchen,stick a pic up when it’s fully oiled please.

My boys cooking for us all today.. he likes a bit of fancy cooking

Menu is

Jerusalem Artichoke soup, with toasted hazelnuts and truffle oil

Venison loin on celeriac puree, fondant potatoes, buttered kale with a blackberry jus

Bread and butter pudding or Apple crumble..

 

I think my education on food is done, im sat with a glass of wine watching him...bliss lol

Without "sides" or gravy,to be fair it tasted great so no complaints but gravy on a sarnie,typical French,they never forgave the Earl of Sandwich for fighting them in a couple of conflicts.

10hrs , bit of chuck, took forever, told missus to cook boys Kiev's they then said they weren't going to bed until they got beef so currently sat with plates full of beef and horseradish.....the pressure I live under.
