300blk are available in this singleshot Bergara ba13 and cz527 boltaction. My intendent use are beaverhynting both from a kayak and by stalking/sitting, walked up shoting on smallgame and plinking. Hunting are made with supersonic ammo as a subsinics are illegal in combination with a silencer. Plinking can be made with subsonics and silencer. AR 15 are allowed in 300blk for spcs competition.

I bought the ba13 because its a short light rifle i can carry on my backpack, plastic stock so i dont have to be so careful with it. I can reload it for 25% of the price of 22 wmr ammo.

Its also possible to as a lefty lend to a rh hunter.

Lehigh Defence makes hunting bullets for subsonic speed, hornady makes subsonic hunting ammo with a plastic tip interlock 190gr bullet. In Sweden i can Hunt fox, hare, capercaillie and smäller with fmj so i only need expanding bullets for roe, Lynx and beaver.

Nice gun btw. Great you have the choices.

TBH on the ammo side, I don't think it necessarily matters what's legal but more what's ethical. I'd personally never use fmj against live prey because as Sausage alluded to earlier, the bullets do and will pass through on multiple occassions missing vital organs, and the prey run off wounded, or may nick a blood vessel or vital organ and leave it running off and bleeding out over a portracted period of time or sucumming to infection. Expanding ammo is the only real humane option as it almost guarantees a kill and allows for mistakes in aiming. I know you'll probably say you all headshoot beavers / lynx over there. However, it's not hard to be slightly high and scalp something with a shot either creating a surface wound or in the case of more penetration, a non fatal head injury, or slightly low and go through the jaw etc. Whilst mistakes can never be totally elimated, the chances are extremely low when expanding is used and the animal usually incapacitated allowing for an instant humane follow up shot. FMJ creates a many many times higher chance of a wound and of an escape. Not judging here. Just trying to encourage all to use best practices.

I've used lots of fmj on critters and had no problems.

Fmj are only used for small animals in medium size cartridges as 3006. For beaver i use a 110gr varmint bullet in my .308w with the hope it fragment inside it and dont penetrate the other side of the skin, aiming for the front end. At the only successful lynx Hunt i been to the doghandler shot a 12kg animal with several rounds of 9,3/62 regular 285gr softpoints.

Actually. The .300 black isn't a milspc round. It's the some if the .300 whisper  which was a experimental round for SOCOM but it's gain the bulk of its popularity in the shooting and hinting community.  For under 150 yd work this one if the most loved rounds currently espically for reloaders since you can make your own brass from .223/5.56 which is basically worthless to many . It's become of of THE rounds for hogs espically suppressed and with NV / thermal. Youth hunters also love it.  Know a few guys who've built their daughters AR pistols in.300blk and they taken lots of deer and hogs.

Also loved because almost everyone you can stuff in a .308 or 30-06 you can shove in a .300blk. Lost of guys are saving a ton and even casting for it. Honestly I prefer the 7.62x39 but i want a .300blk now simply because it's easier to get/make brass . Not to mention on a AR all you need to do is swap the barrel.  Uses the same bolt carrier group  and everything elese as a sta dared. 223/5.56. Actually really really soured it hasn't taken off better over there

Yes sir, I never understood why the mid bores were never popular over here but then again there is a very small mind set towards firearms by a: the masses and b: PC Plod!
