Dug my old .22lr single shot out and decided I'd give it a new life as a target /pest rifle.  Doing a little video series on my progress

I'm all for mid bore rifles and revolver calibers. They make excellent small game getters.

KimE here a can of what i like using Has worded on all my guns I've painted to far not sure if you can get it out there though

Nice rifle we dont see H&Rs very often in Sweden.

I have ordered a Bergara BA13 in 300blk what has a similar look, its fo smallgame hunting so i am thinking of putting a small hunting scope on it but these hunting/target scopes looks interesting to extend the range a bit. 300blk will work great with cast bullets if i get in to what.

Beuthiful rifle SD, I lost a bidding for a marlin 1894 in .357 on monday so i ordered this Bergara instead. Its legal up to roedeer and Beaver in Sweden, 2400 with 110gr jacketed bullets 1100 with 110-200gr lead slugs.

I wouldn't like to shoot a roe with a 357 110g. Very messy!

A nice 158g soft point for me. And for beaver.

My favourite full power powder was Alliant 2400.

Alliant shotgun powders for squirrel and rabbits.

Yes the 158gr are great for .357. I have to see what load i Will have for roedeer in the 300, i ordered sierra varmint 110 for beaver and i Will try a fmj for birds, fox, hare. With a 150gr bullet i have to reach 500+m/s to make it legal for roe and beaver most 150s are made for 308w velosity so they might not perform well i such slow speed.

Can you get 140g?

A fox will run a good ways with fmj across the lungs. I know!

Fmj work well backwards.

Hornady xtp work well, can you get them?

Yes i can get hornady 135gr leverution but i Will wait to get such bullet as i Hunt other game more. Fmj are the traditional fox bullet in Sweden( they might not perform so well in Low speed) but i Will get bluntnose or flatpoint soft cast bullets for close to village hunting and plinking.

300blk is an intersting choice as it's mainly a self defence / military round. I have heard of it's use on pigs and deer to around 150yds in the states. It's famous because it can be supressed in subsonic form to be quiet and still deliver a punch. That said, some reports say expansion is unreliable with sub sonic ammo and supersonic is more suited to hunting. Similar rounds over there would also include .458 socom and .500 Beowolf although again, neither of these are used exrtensively for hunting that I'm aware of. Both pack a hell of a punch and should easily stop a boar at 150-200yds though. The price is more recoil though.

Just wondering what your intended use is and what rifles you have available to you in Sweden as 300 blk was primarily designed for the AR15, which is banned in much of the EU.
