Found this tree on my travels one time down Bristol way. I was absolutely blown away by the sheer scale and beauty of it and it ranks up there if not above with any animal I've seen for just being in

at some point in its life ...I think a human has bent it completely in to a loop ...on the 3rd pick the tree on the left of the pick is the same tree...its the end of the loop ..or what would have been the top of the tree if it was a regular tree...you can see on top of the loop ...the tree has compensated by sending up those branches....sadly its dead now the tree...see if I can get better pics in the winter

Smashing little thread this,that Celtic Cross is unbelievable what an achievement....just googled it and apparently the chap who did it died and never got to see the end results which seems so sad but what a mark to leave on nature....brilliant.

It looks so perfectly done.he must of marked it out with a huge string line or something then planted to the line.it is very impressive..

its a hell of a sized tree....its been pollarded its not the best pic...but could be a poplar tree...

Yeah it's sad he never seen it gnash, I'm going to head up round there at weekend, I do thi k I can get an aerial pic, but il take a few for the craic.
