No I wouldn’t be able to hold a sports conversation apart from boxing, fishing or hunting  but the rest of it is mental, dogs chase balls not people and you are worshipping people who are massively ov

His dad nicked me when i was young we got chatting about footie he said  " yeah my boy plays for Millwall "...... " well he wont be going nowhere in the game then " i says ☺️

To top it off he wasn't sleeping wearing oxygen masks and getting iced baths, after a match he was snorting an ounce of coke off women's piss flaps. ?

Have never understood male hero worship, all seems a little bit gay to me, guess it’s a release for all the hidden gayness within ????

Brilliant , so you wouldn’t be able to talk about anything sports wise really?

Frank won’t want Messi, he is building something and I can see his idea.

He wants players at the start of their career, not the end.

Messi has PSG written all over him, they are the European equivalent of LA Galaxy.

Step inside the PSG shop on the Champs Elise and that tells you exactly what that club is all about......and at this stage of his career Messi fits that model perfectly imho

In actual fact, I’d say Christiano Ronaldo would be more prized as an older player by clubs than Messi.

At this stage of CR career it wouldn’t even be about what he did on the pitch, he is worth a hundred grand a week just to show young players how to live, eat, train and mindset.......Paulo DiCanio did exactly that for young Frank, Joe and Rio when he came to our little club.

These things have value in sport

And an honourable mention to Puskas ,Di Stevanio (spell ) and Joe Bolton

Subjective is right mate.

I think Lionel Messi is the greatest player of his generation in that position, absolutely 100% .......but the greatest ever ?

I was lucky enough to be a young bloke watching football  in what I consider To be a golden age of football and players.....obviously the first that springs to mind is Ronaldo (check his list of honours, it’s breathtaking !!)

Then in no particular order:

Zidane

Henry

Batistuta

Scholes

Beckham

Bergkamp

Zanetti

Maldini

Rivaldo

Stam

Kluivert

Gazza

Del Piero

I could go on and on and on.....the 90s were football gold, it’s very hard to say Messi is the greatest player ever

The 98 World Cup was the greatest display of football the world has ever seen imho

Glad Gerrard wasn't on that list

Gerrard is one of my favourite ever players and could claim to genuinely be a one off type , but he deserves no mention on that sort of list purely for his achievements

I thought he was a great player Stevie G but we are talking the best of the best here, he's not in that league.

My reply was a little pun.

I know , also shouldn’t really be feted as hard by the Liverpool fans as if they’d lost in Istanbul he was off like a shot
