(One minute. This guy makes a career choice of studying each of us. Creating mental dossiers. Cross referencing our every nuance. Then, when he thinks he knows who we are? He'll proudly and repeatedly shout his info from the roof tops. On this wide open forum. Probably face book too. Wow! Where will he stop? Real names? Addresses? Photographs of your dogs and kids?! And he's Openly Proud of what he's doing. And this is now acceptable??? Wow! Blown away! What Has become?) Anyway, got me thinking: I was sat there, one Sunday night. Whole family watching The Black And White Minstrel Show, on the black and white TV. I'd guess some guy stepped forward to do a solo song to the camera. And my dad turned to me mum and said: " I reckon that's ..... " Tom Jones. What ever. I don't know. Ask Katchum. But, yeah. He mentioned some known singer. Explained why he reckoned it was this guy. His voice. Something about him. I dunno. And I've never forgotten that. It made That much of an impression on me. So, I guess my question is pretty much: Did you ever realise that they were 'real' people? Known people. Rather than just a chorus line in boot polish? Did you sit, each week, hunkered and squinting at the screen, searching for what ever clue you thought would enable you to make a Katchum like decision, then leap up screaming, like Katchum; " I've got him! I've Got Him!!!! " My dad only ever did that the once. Just an in passing comment. Maybe it was just a random thing that struck him about the person on the screen. He never made a life style of it. Maybe that's why I'd never grass. My dad showed me a better example, by his actions. I'll even walk through your house without looking left or right. Not my business. They always watched the bloody program. What a load of shit. It was a sort of sing along show where all the girls were white and all the bloķes (homos.) All off them were blacked up. Racialism had not been invented back them. I loathed the bloody program. Total shite. The blokes should have been taken out and shot and the women should have been tied to trees, whipped until they repented their sins. Crist knows why the blokes were all blacked up . They weren't wogs or nigers anyway. No one realised that it was the first part of a thin edge along with the carry on films, Larry Grayson jimmy saville , rolf harris and the like. Edit... I've read through this thread and haven't got a clue what its all about. Are you all it some secret society or something and its all in code to me.
