One total twat in the plummer world is going all out on dna tests for his club and register,the same plonker who's been pushing for KC for years and he ended up having Banji or what ever those stupid big eared things from the med are called and saluki  blood in his pure plummers,...Pure plummer,,, a terrier made up of other breeds that is classed as pure......

Got a couple of dogs here, as we speak. Got them from the pound. They'd been slung over the fence with their tits still on the ground.

Looking at them, and considering their circumstances, I figured they must be the 'natural wastage' from a " Bull X " breeding scheme. Only using ~ fittingly enough! ~ a whippet stud. So, I started thinking of them as " Pippets ". Something to do.

But, you know what? Put a fukking gun to my head and there's no way I could Swear I didn't suspect there was a dash of collie in there! Both of them.

They look, for all the world, like strange little pit bull based things. They absolutely adore fighting my much bigger dog. Yet, they'll eyeball him, prior to launching an attack, just like a typical sheep dog. You know that whole thing? Head down. Ears and arse up. Creeping stalk.

Round in circles, again, though; If I had them dna tested, without the lab knowing anything about them, or ever having laid eyes on them? Surely they couldn't just send back some randomly generated mess of percentages?

Or, could they???

Maybe reptiles mate but not British birds they are either cocks or hens

Don't female mallards change colours as they get older and don't lay eggs so they don't get f****d to death?

Must have been an urban myth I heard then, I'm not sure but I think it might have been my nan who told me. She said that was why her budgie's cere had changed colour.

We once had two gay pigeons. They were frill backs which didn't help their cause. They would hatch and rear eggs we put under them. Full on bender life partner pigeons. Think I fed em to the ferrets.

My mate had his dna tested through the same man and his came back as having shetland sheepdog in i think.

It could be that Deehound genes were not in the companies data set so the DH genes would be attributed to a similar recognised breed ie greyhound leading to error in the results. if a breed is not in the data set, ( the genes available on the companies library), then it won't be recognised and with early test there was often a limited library leading to errors. plus a few were cons and didn't undertake any real  test but requested a photo with the sample then just guessed from the photo.

With modern testing by decent companies with good genetic data sets to compare to there should be reasonable results but......................all things are open to interpretation.

Don't the pedigree whippet racing club DNA test any whippet suspected of having greyhound blood in it ?

Ive no faith in dog DNA testing as different company's have different methods. Some have a data base of around 300 "breeds", but whose to say what was actually in the "breeds" that tested.
