Cheers Stav Dropped andrew’s share off, his father in law who is a chef was very impressed with your skills, they are all asking when the next delivery is coming 3 Quote Link to post

Stavross 17,878
Back out today for a late afternoon deer ramble, this time with longshanx, we walked the same path as I did with Foxhunter last weekend, after a walk along the bottom with the light fading we headed back towards the wood. As we came into the field before the wood and rounded the corner there was 3 roe the other side of the beck on next doors land, the only one that presented a half shot was a buck, so he’ll have to wait, we got to the wood side and waited until last light but nothing else showed, still a nice way to spend a Saturday afternoon. I’ve never really been into deer, only taking them if someone asks me for one, but I’m really starting to enjoy an afternoon walk out, looking for them 3 Quote Link to post

Baldcoot 2,352
Have u tried a buttolo call Stav ,its early for the rut but some bucks can be very aggressive. It may draw them closer and give you the edge needed? 1st April isn't far away and Longshanks needs some more practice with his butchery 2 Quote Link to post
FOXHUNTER 5,021
Last night I went up the Dale's to do a bit of rabbit control. It was dark and breezy so thought I would have a good night. Straight from the off though it was obvious it was going to be challenging, nothing liked the lamp and were on their toes. This meant for rangey shots and also quick snap shooting, having to follow them moving and if they stopped for a split second having to shoot. It was challenging and frustrating at the same time. Ended up with a decent bag considering Rabbits will be left to breed now and start shooting them again on Summer evenings. 5 Quote Link to post

No need anyway as the bucks are very active in April and May marking their territories , you will find them wandering about no problem. Cant wait 3 Quote Link to post
