Derbyshire swallows

here in Derbyshire I haven't seen a swallow, swift or Martin yet. what's rest of country like?

Seen my first swallows yesterday evening here in SW Scotland 🖒

just shows they don't arrive in the south and work there way up country then

Plenty of Sparrows, Starlings, Magpies and a few Blackbirds in my back garden but nothing else..

They were over the River Dordogne in SW France at the end if last month and on the 2nd or 3rd I heard a cuckoo. The martins are building now. The hoopoes were very early too and the nightingales started singing about three days ago.

First mozzie bite of the year this evening while I was watering the garden. That's early too!  🙄

Heard my first cuckoo on the Derbyshire moors today. Looking forward to studying them again this year 👍

House martins over a week ago, swallows arrived day before yesterday, cuckoo this morning.
