How often to feed

In that case I'm going to feed 1 day and fast for 6.

Once a day 9pm every night for the 2 cripples if I’m taking the young un out she gets half her daily weight portion mid day then the other half after we’ve lamped but only done that the few trips she’

Tbh I reduce what I feed in the summer here because it gets so hot and it's impossible to run him enough to keep him lean. Even with reduced, he normally puts a kilo or so on through from May to now. Only time I give him a real full meal in this period, is if we are in the mountains where it is cooler and we've done miles that day.

In the winter I starve him! Any dog that can't graft without eating for a month, ain't worth keeping in my book;)

A good food for keeping the weight down is bog roll soaked in cuppa soup minestrone is best 

Cream of asparagus is a bit rich

i see you have the feeding regime sorted BN.

but dont knock a large tin of chappie.large tin 1 day.small tin the next.just keep's the dog guessing is it large tin day or small.

and dont forget to remove the label off the tin.so the neighbours dont think you are stuck in the 70's

and i like to give him a treat twice a week.he has a tin off possum.once a week. and a tin of unicorn meat once a week it's an excellent source of sparkles and the dog is flying.

If I'm giving mine soup, it's usually water with some water added.

You guys spoil your dog's!  No wonder they are weak jackers.

You know they say you can only truthally tell if your dog is healthy by tasting there shit it has to be the first shit they do after a meal and it must be fresh. Steaming if possible. Do you still keep a couple slices of bread with you on a walk ?
