Street Drag Racing

Recommended Posts

every year where we are they hold a street drag racing event like (street outlaws) they close one of the main streets for it to run, there's road going cars up to the pro's... iv'e taken lots of pics.....i really like the big v8 engines, also the sound and power of them....the red corvette is driven by a paraplegic guy.....he steers it with a butterfly steering wheel in his right hand, they strap his legs in, and he has a pressure pad in between his teeth as the throttle the more he bites down the faster he goes....his run was brilliant....126mph at just over 6 seconds....

You'll wear your camera out ?.  I remember that in Maidstone the boy racers would illegally thrash it along St Peters street. The lads would congregate along there. One night a car lost its flashy wheel trims during a race run and these disc trims went flying through the air at about eighty MPH and smashed to pieces when they hit the  buildings. Monday Morning someone  had the job of going out front and  clearing  away about two dustbin of burger boxes and random paper that had collected in the gateway caused by the whirlwind and slip stream of the car's racing along  the road.  Boys will be boys.

You still got the scooby? Only problem with them is the soft engines can't handle much power with the open deck blocks compared to the likes of evos, cossies even the vag turbos take great power tune ups.  the old 80s legacys came with the closed deck engines but hard getting hold of one ffs

Mrs filled the last one with derv len,by accident ?‍♂️spent thousands getting it remapped, changing pumps and filters, even swapped out the lump, but never ran the same again so sold it, got half my money back, even though she wasnt running right, lad used it for spares?put that money into the volvo conversion on the gt 5,hoping to get that out on the rd by next yr, not long ago had to cut the roof off and weld on a new one from a 5 campas. They all just money pits lol?. Was on the look out for a rs series 1,but they sick money these days. Will defo get another forester sti, if i find the right one at the right price?Screenshot_20180530-131950.thumb.png.209751cffd048abd7660e197b086058b.png

So, we are only a few months away now.  Providing everything's ok with the site owners, we should be making our annual pilgrimage on Friday 19th to Monday 22nd of August.
Who's coming besides Dido and Lurcherman Kev?
      Cheers, D.
