I think Andrew is a bit of a legend personally.........as for proud to be British, I have mixed feelings.......sure I’m proud as punch when I think about what our country was, what it used to mean to be British, what we have given the world and the royals are all part of that.......but I look at what the place has become and I’m f***ing ashamed and I’m bitter that I have been made to feel bitter about the place.

I think Andrew is a leach. I think the truth about some of these people would be too much to bare for some, but easy to ignore by many ;-)

I don't want to upset or insult anybody. It's unfathomable to me that people respect royalty. And royalists undoubtedly believe anti -royalists to be unpatriotic traitors. The point I want to make is that the royals have spin doctors constantly working on their ' brand'. The media are all on their side, particularly the BBC. I would love, in the interests of fairness, for there to be an unbiassed, fly on the wall, documentary series made about the royals. I would like it to be a no -holds= barred 24/7 expose. It seems to me they are in receipt of obscene amounts of money from taxpayers. Let's see what we get for our money.

We've had endless documentaries featuring 'poverty porn', where social security recipients have their money, their sex loves, their drug and alcohol consumption scrutinised. Let's in the interests of fairness have some 'vast wealth porn' featuring the royals.. I'm out of this thread, it could run and run and nobody will change their minds. So over and out.

One thing I will say is that I don’t think it makes you unpatriotic if you don’t support the royal family.
