I pray those who belittle him, call him selfish and simplify suicide never go through even a tiny fraction of the mental trauma that would drive a man to suicide.

Being a father, husband, brother means nothing, an escape from the demons is all they want.Nasty, underestimated thing depression, main reason the biggest killer of males under 45 is .........suicide.

The fact of the matter is you have no idea what people commenting have seen and been through so that's just f***ing nonsense........people just deal with it in different ways and those that choose not

It's sad news, such a waste, my mate done same just before Xmas last year, my very first thought was selfish b*****d, I sort of understood why, but still seeing his missus n kids and with six months that or so reflection on it I still come back too selfish b*****d, it's choosing too quit when you could choose too live, but I do conceed that the human mind can be a dark place for some

What's the point of topping yourself ? The grim reaper will get you soon enough and life might improve. I think suicide can often be a form of loving yourself too much. I've always gone by the belief 'life can be crap and then you croak'. Shit happens to everybody so feckin get on with it.

This is one powerful Linkin Park track. We can probably all relate to the lyrics.

I've always found the best survival mechanism when the psychological going gets tough is accept it for what it is. A phase, a shit time which may last a long time but will eventually end. Exercise like fuk even though it's the last thing you want to do,and lay off the drink--it's a depressant.

I have to confess straightaway that I couldn't tell you the first thing about Linkin Park.....

What I do know is that 41 is no age to die of anything, but the manner of his death is very, very sad - clearly a very troubled man, overwhelmed by his demons, and unable to see any way forward.

What state of mind must you be in to even contemplate killing yourself ? Poor man...

Some of the worst times I've been through were when my adult kids' lives weren't going well. That is really difficult. You are only as happy as your kids.

For you lads who are younger than me--you've got that to come.
