How Much Time Do You Really Spend With Your Dogs .......

Recommended Posts

my missus headed off on a holiday with her mate today and obviously wanted to see a bit of me before she went but I had a few jobs on this morning then a bit of puppy training give the old dog a walk out clean the ferrets etc etc etc ... anyway ended up seeing her for about an hour before she headed off which made me think that I do spend most of my time with my dogs more than I do with anybody or anything else ... obviously my job means that's going to happen but all the extras in feeding cleaning training etc mean that out of the waking day 80% f it is spent with the dogs ... how much time do you guys actually spend with your dogs and would you like more or less time ???????

Whenever I'm not at work I'm with my dogs these days, don't go to pub or anything anymore just work and home with the odd trip to the builders merchants lol mine live in the house with us so if I'm in there in and if I'm outside they're outside

All of it unless we go shopping or something like that, if we go on holiday we would use the Eurotunnel so we can take them with us, if we go out to eat it has to be a dog friendly place

I spend too much time with them tbh every morning and evening excersisng them plus more in the season and I do abit with other types of dogs. I don't think you can beat owning one lurcher and putting 100% into it but then injuries can leave you short. I'm lucky my mrs don't get too bothered as I try me best to make up for it in summer and spend plenty of time with the family.

I left a good pile of food in with mine in march at the end of last season. I haven't seen them since. I'm looking forward to seeing them in September to see if they have grown. I think there was a pup in there somewhere but I'm not sure. It should be nearly fully grown by now. ????

On a normal week day, probably 2 hours unless I'm sat outside. Tends to be more in the summer months. On a weekend as much time as I can accommodate without it being a hindrance, longer walks, few jobs to do and work on the shoot etc.

I haven't the time and frankly can't be arsed with them all the time. I like just chilling on my own when I can. I've done the whole having dogs out all the time and it just made them wankers to live with imo. I need low hassle dogs these days.
