jiggy 3,209
I often thought about using those reflective collars in case the dog got out on a road a car would see him at night and slow down before it's too late. 1 Quote Link to post
runem 533
Old wives tale the white dog lamping story. I have a bitch that is predominately white and I graft her constantly on the lamp. She does fine. i agree , i had a fully white bitch that once caught 96 rabbits in a night lamping , im confident in saying she wouldnt have caught more if she was brindle or black. 1 Quote Link to post

white van man 3,287
Mine is mainly white. I personally don't think it makes a difference for lamping. 2 Quote Link to post

terryd 8,364
Could be florescent pink it won't make a jot of difference apart from you can see it better lol . I would have thought anyway. Even if rabbits can see florescent pink when they have a blitz in the face would it matter any way Quote Link to post

Sootdnoot 2
We have a black dog and a red bitch both who do well in the lamp, the black dog is invisible once he's out of the lamp which I personally don't like. Once he was very slow to return (unusual for him as he is always back quick to heel with or without a catch) and I remember thinking where would we ever begin to look for him if the stupid sod has knocked himself out or worse! You could literally trip over him before you'd see him. Flashing/glow in the dark collars look great and would help with cars if they go to the road but I can't bring myself to run the dogs with collars on after one got caught by the collar in a drain once and half drowned, left him shy of wire, drains and ditches for ages. Starting a new dog this year and she is a real blondie colour so be good to see if the black the red or the white comes out top dog ? Quote Link to post
