Trouble is, most people haven't got a clue how their every day meat has been treated, you just hope for the best really or do you really care if it's not pet-like? Or maybe you are very choosy about y

Both, mate. I'd step up and say it's a step in the right direction and they're pandering to do-gooders.   Off topic, but I've yet to be able to sit through one of those undercover fur trade videos.

Every culture is different though Hindus for example probably think we are heathens for eating cow ...meat is meat whatever way you look at it .just treat the animal with the respect it deserves for

Eh up Kanny. In Middle East in the eighties and all the Phillo's were breeding and eating dogs. We tried to stop them but it was a way of life. These guys earned somethings like 100 US dollars a month which Marco wanted back in Manilla. Eat a dog. Cheap snap. Jok.

I can agree with that ...I've never had a problem as such with what other cultures get upto regarding animal welfare or what they eat but I do like to see animals treated humanely and as you say some of those fur videos they clearly don't .

I'm out of likes for the day so you'll have to a take a

I wouldn't eat dog on general principle, but likewise it isn't my place to decide what should/shouldn't go on in another country.

My grievance is that it should be humanely done and not skinned alive, put back into it's putrid shit filled cage to die painfully.

Same I figured I'd use the vocabulary as it isn't as powerful as the video... Unless you know what video I'm taking about...

I think we are on the same page regarding the video. ..I'm going to leave it there .

I do enjoy eating meat and hunting if I can get the chance. The line stops at animals that are normally kept as pets, as they are considered by me to be 'honourary humans' if you understand what I mean. For that reason I wouldn't eat animals like cat, dog, horse, hamster or monkey. The animal rights extremists tend to think of all animals as 'honourary humans'.
