Yea BGD it was good to see. Second time ive seen it. Next time i go up that way I'll take my tab try get a pic.

It had a big branch in those talons. Must be renovating its nest somewhere.

@dogman i live close to the coast and this old guy was telling me to look out for a pair of sea eagles. Im guessing he meant oospreys? Or are they different?

Sea Eagles definitely pal, bigger than the Golden Eagle even if not quite as impressive.

Different mate. I had a pair arrive on a shoot I had for a little while. Big birds.

One of the estates I delivered too had a pair for a wee while. Would corner the poults with the wings out in the pen and kill lots. Not much you can do about it.

Sea eagles. The keeper did a wee bit on Countryfile ( I think) about them. He was worried that if they made a nest on the estate the shoot would be stopped because an exclusive zone around it. Load of bollocks. Anyway one died, electrocuted it's self.

Kinda glad I was working a few big Labs and no a wee cocker anyway...?

They're the same family as the American bald eagle mate, look the same but without the white head and neck feathers.

Cracking pic mate. Got a blackbird on eggs in the stable but that's an early brood of thrushes. Will be fledged soon looking at size of them. Did well to bring them off with no leaf cover..

A bit of a tenuous link, but this place apparently, is home to one of the biggest colonies of swallows in Europe.....

I visited Doel today, an almost abandoned village near Antwerp port. They started buying this place up to expand the port in the late 90's , but several years later & an ongoing legal battle with about 25 people refusing to leave..........it's now an attraction to some, especially to graffiti artists. My wife wouldn't even get out of the motor! Haha.......most buildings are vandalised in some way, with people actually living among the wreckage.....

Like some dystopian vision of post apocalypse.....
