Blackman To Be Freed ....

Recommended Posts

In all seriousness I don't know who will employ the bloke?.......too hot to handle and mentally unstable under pressure.

The big "noise" that got him released may ultimately prove a large mill stone round his neck.

Or some employer with national pride might see it the other way, he put it on the line for his country, the least I can do is give him a job and a second chance

Maybe, let's hope that's the case but I can't see many employers wanting a media circus crawling upto the factory door every day.......maybe it would be good for business? Who knows ?

The thing is he has admitted he fukced up did wrong shouldn't have done it ... he hasn't tried to justify what he did hasn't tried to excuse himself ... but he was on his 6th yes 6th tour of Afghanist

Sentence reduced to 7 years for manslaughter so will be freed within 2 weeks ..........

And you'd never stand in front of an enemy force on a battle field either would you ......

id say hes mentally stable,5 tours in those shit holes, mans a rock.he could find a well paid job paid easy.

He is not "a rock" at all, he fell down.....lots of blokes do

Just shows the problem we face in this country when you have people who call him a criminal and basically think he got what he deserved

These same people will no doubt be against a hit list of jihadies from the UK being handed to British troops

He is a criminal, convicted in a court of law. Sorry stating facts hurts your feelings I guess.
No, i believe it's your presence that hurts feelings, like most on this thread I wish you would f**k off with your treasonous views, if you can't stand behind our troops perhaps you should try standing in front of them.

Aww the poor snowflake's feelings are hurt by being exposed to views different from his own

You and I are polar opposites, but we've never had a cross word personally. So, it saddens me to say that I think that your trend towards petty name-calling, baiting and fishing for controversy doesn't do you justice. You may be the lone leftie voice, but you're not doing your cause any favours by using ya-boo tactics.

Sorry to say it, mate, but there you go !

I agree with Larry. Sgt blackman let great britain down with his actions imho and should be made to finish his sentence
Larry said he should get 'stiffed' or 'painted' do you agree with that?

Civility kind of goes out the window when I'm being called treasonous and a traitor for having differing views on a subject...

Been a while since I've read a thread that's really had my brain thinking. I know it's all about just having an opinion but I do like to think I was having the correct one. In this case it's very hard to know what to think.

Reading Socks post there it firmly puts my mind back to my initial thoughts that he should be freed immediately and although he admits he did wrong the punishment was too severe.

But I've also read some good points from Stiff' and it does make you think that certain laws have to be abided too and if broken, just like us, you need to face the consequences.

I find it weird how 2 men that have fought for the same thing, no doubt endured very similar training can have 2 completely different points off view on the subject.

I agree with that my automatic response would always be loyalty to my own so let him out and give him anything he wants.....however in the cold light of day he obviously f****d up and needed punishing as we all do when we f**k up,those in positions of responsibility perhaps even more so......the 2 lads on here both make valid points that help you understand and form opinions and for that we should be grateful....but sometimes i think you just dont need to have an opinion ive read a fair bit about this case and am still none the wiser i dont know but its ok not to know.....having a solid opinion on a subject you dont have much understanding of and sticking by that opinion no matter what is just silly.

Spot on. But there are a few folk on here who no very little on certain subjects but will argue there point all day. Don't get me wrong if I'm clued up on something I'll debate all day. Probably best to listen and take in information when you don't though...??
