They can be controlled without the use of Lurchers.

It does not make for good reading , we have all now been tarred with the same brush, in fact I dare say , they will soon be banning rabbiting and therefore the running dog will have no purpose .

 

As with a lot of things, the few have ruined it for the many .

 

The only we see in , dealing with this is to raise the image of the lurchers and more importantly the lurcher owners .

 

As long as people ignore the law , cause damage and abuse farmers , we will never get a repeal, and never be taken serious by any one , including the CA

Both the rat and the rabbit cause millions of pounds worth of damage to Agriculture, every year,....they,....will never put a stop to the control of these pest species...

First and formost a "Debate" usually comprises of two or more points of view. the above was purely an assassination attempt by Lacs and Anti funded Mp,s to vilify any folk who are involved or concened with Hare coursing. Words like Heanous Crime, Gangs of Marauding Criminals. vandals and thieves destroying property and Crops . What a pile of Manure it can only be Hare coursing that has Characters of ill repute involved in the activity of Hare coursing. unlike the Angels and Saints involved in every other Country sports activity. Every activity in the world has some unsavoury characters involved most in my experience claim to be upper class white shirted bow tied and suited scum bags. Read the Hunting with Dogs Act 2004 it does not specifically mention fox hunting may be once but numorous times it Mentions Hare Coursing and calls for an out right ban on hare coursing yet not on fox hunting or any other kind of Hunting. So nominates the Hare Cousers as the nominated scrificial lambs of the Country sports. and we are supposed to lie down and go quietly ? Not a chance I see the post of the Acting Chair of AWL appears to be concerned with any possibility of demise of rabbiting and lurcher work and the devil take other forms of dog work. Perhaps the name long dogs and the mention of Sighthounds should be erased from the AWL forum in case any kind of link may be made.

I would agree Allan,..but,.being an Agricultural pest species,... I doubt that the type of unfair legislation created to protect, other critters,..will ever be given to Rats or Rabbits..

Grossly hypocritical ,...totally illogical I know,...but I believe it to be, a realistic prospect ....

As a veteran hunter, with scant influence on contemporary lurcher enthusiasts,...I can only applaud lads and lassies that still harbor that fire and passion for the chase...

Briefly skimmed through what they all saying there, also seen the Wiltshire MP appearance before the on video, well they deffo got one side of the story didn't they? again they only mentioned the minority, in fact they stopped just sort of saying who that type are, what do they think these boys do when they get home turn into angels, if they criminals then they likely too steal deal and thieve whatever they like given any opportunity, maybe their local police forces could deal with them? oh yea that's right they cant cos they too busy riding around the countryside chasing ghosts lmao

 

What about the hundreds of decent people that used to course before the ban, do they desrve that slagging, or does the lad who got shouted at when out by himself and simply walked away, or maybe the lad shot recently by a farmer, just got the video of that today, will the farmer end up jailed for the shooting? will he even get prosecuted? or will all of the above negate that happening?

 

Said farmers crying about crops being wrecked lmao, cant see a couple of coursers doing the damage the hunts do when they out breaking the law, oh yea there damage dont stink like ours,

 

all that all a bit one sided but then again look where its being held and who doing the chatting, scum every single last one of them,

that wont happen anytime soon, there would of been no ban at all had that been the case, the ban was allowed to go ahead as long as enough loop holes where left open to allow the rich to do as they please, you lot will be fine, in fact they could use you too look down upon us even further, all they have to do is let you clear all the vermin they cant be arsed to for free and you will lap it all up , your as likely too loose what you have as we are to get what we want back

See the average mug that votes for this sort of law, does it cos they personally find what we do distasteful, saying your killing with dogs is ok and ours is wrong , and that its also ok too break the law and hunt foxes cos you own the land is crazy, lets have it right if its wrong to kill for any reason then stop all killing of animals

a couple of police officers have been done for child porn does that make a, ll policemen peados? many MP's deffo involved in child porn and abuse, should they all be tarred with same brush? Tony Blair lied to the whole world and caused untold misery terror and danger for billions of the worlds population, should every labour MP be judged by his behaviour? do they hold sessions like these where they talk about the above mentioned and tar everyone else with the same brush, no they don't, that's a stitch up just too keep the rich folks holiday homes and rich landowners getting more of the polices time than the people who actually pay the bulk of there wages ie joe average who cant see a plod for a month after his house burgled cos they all too busy running after some farmers crops, well heres news most crops subsidised anyhow, as is most of what our farmers get, they never had it so good and now there own private police force, funny when country people lived in the country and townies could only afford one home none of this was ever an issue

 

do they take away the cars of burglars and crush them? they just singling these lads out because to be fair its gone mental this last couple of seasons but why they acting the way they are? could it be just that they don't care they never known any better they just want there kicks and gone,they will have packed up and sold up before they get any change in the law, leaving the majority who yes break the law, but try to do it with out getting caught, most are never seen, they usually only caught cos the other team fetch plod to area and they end up walking into them, the real causes of the damage be well gone

 

See when they match n drive land and loads turn up don't for one minute think the plod go steaming in like they do if its joe average courser, do they feck as like its all kid gloves cos they just know it could kick off, its all please leave lads cmon now the farmers had enough move on down the road, its usually the divs that try do it half right that get cached

Yes we never had this problem years ago when a farmer seen you out running a hare and would ask you for a help never seen any dog man steel they were only after a run and the farmers knew it we used to go help the farmer and then carry on with the day's hunt no bad blood with farmers they would call round the house and ask you and come fix a problem they had with a animal or animals now we are all steeling from the farmers.

all that theft business a smoke screen stealing tractors etc who exactly needs all this farm machinery? and how come the plods never or rarely catch them in the act? could it not be a con by the farmers, get a subsidised tractor for minimal price and then sell it down the road too a richer farmer who don't get his subsidised lol and if its not a con and costing so much why do they allow it too happen, ffs they can spy one man in a field from their deep sleep in bed but they cant hear someone nicking a tractor out of there shed or yard, and again what abut the police there pretty good at catching coursers who break the law in said areas sure they could stop all the rural theft, if they do that then surely there wont be any coursers left cos they all be locked up for robbing farmers ?
