the gateway effect is just a lame catchphrase, part of the war on drugs, load of rubbish, in reality not many will choose heroin if there is no weed available, most street dealers tend to stick with one product, weed and heroin very different markets and very different consumers

 

the problem with the war on drugs is that its already lost, was long ago, you simply cannot go to war on society and those whom actually pay the taxes and vote for you, hence the whole modern world moving quickly towards legalisation of cannabis, I personally think other drugs will follow suit eventually, what is the point of creating a huge black market that costs you millions to police and we know that policing is ineffective, millions of pounds lost in black holes, and tax havens, causes untold misery and terror world wide, users unable to seek treatment to address the route cause of problems, prisons full to the brim, (also aash with drugs)

 

I accept that some will choose too simply tune out and spend there days wrecked but at least they will do so cheaply and safely, out the way of the rest of us, no crime will be required to fund habit and help will be available if they choose to take it, the rest of us can look at them and say too our kids that what you end up like if you choose too do x y z,

 

think of the vast savings policing, prisons, ineffective rehabilitation, then think of the profits from taxing the sales of drugs, perfect solution for a world that's on its arse financially

scums scum mate, Id imagine 95% of drug users are just normal joe average, have a job, family and a life, pay for what they consume and prosper, they just happen to choose cocaine, weed, ecstacy, heroin, speed, etc instead of drinking or whatever, these people are hat make drugs the largest cash business on the planet, the other 5% are just a set of shitheads that would cause chaos weather or not they they where on drugs or not, they are the ones that rob steal murder, they the ones who cost the country a fortune, just in the same way a minority spoil drinking for the majority
