Yellow Fat On Bunnies?

Recommended Posts

I posted this topic exactly only last season. The opinion was that some rabbits chew and eat a lot more bark than others particularly ash, willow and hawthorn. Hence yellow/orange fat. Looks great and the rabbit eats just the same. Jok.

My uncle gave me a few chickens to slaughter a few years ago. They were old birds and fed mostly on bread, the amount of yellow fat on them was unbelievable, I cooked one to see how it would taste. It was fookin awful, greasyest thing I've ever had. The dogs got the others and done well on it, even putting a fair bit of weight on.

Not that I've tried hard but haven't found a bunny recipe that I like yet so all my bunnies go to the four westies and the staff. That's a double handed cleaver in the pic. Six goes with that and straight in the mincer bones an all. Then boiled in water with gravy granules ha ha. The dogs think I'm Jamie Oliver.
