Popular Post Blackdog92 2,047
Its time to renew the fell fence. The old one has lasted 34 years and it was getting to that point were we can not patch it up anymore so i spent tuesday afternoon getting the posts and wire netting bundled up ready to helicopter up to the fell, to the markers i put out so the pilot can see were to drop them. It would take me ages to cart the posts out on the quad. It would be 4 loads out of each bundle on the quad and it would probably destroy my quad in the process as its an hour round trip each load with the quad so it was a lot easier with the helicopter. The weather was not perfect for the job but he was a good pilot who knew his job it took us less than an hour to take them all up. Thanks for looking.

DIDO.1 22,864
Iv done some hellish moorland fencing, carrying 5 posts at a time out onto the moor, had the tractor and knocker at some bad angles as well. Do you put barb wire on the top of it? ....will be better for hounds if it's plain wire! Lol I always put the netting on upside down when possible so hares can get through it
