Atheist- pure and simple mate ,a non believer ,a realist ,a strong minded person not prone to see ghosts ,hear voices or live according to a book nor keep boys in fridges .

Happy days mate iv no probs with that at all, you probably follow the commandments anyway by default, like me, i have faith in jesus you dont, we can all get along.

Iv went threw some dark times an came out the other side, an that was before i was a beleiver, so i think im pretty strong minded,

Commandments ,now there's a word .Dictators all over the world have used that one to control the masses .I live by no commandments just human decency but your saying they are there anyway in the back of my mind from your bible ,a good angle too lol.Not trying to rub you up the wrong way but bad times in my life have only served to make me stronger ,not turn to ,well whatever you turned to .Got go now ,out to break a few commandments lol.

Yes i would have been born into whatever religon, but im sure id of found my way to jesus, if you do a bit of research, youl find that millions of muslims, hindus, jews chinese etc etc have come to christ, the truth always gets out.

The bible was written by people. Thousands of years ago when the earth was a much more uncivilised place (that is not a joke by the way, even though i cant believe i just said it) and the masses needed to be controlled and manipulated. Much like is done today but differently.

Think about it this way, if you dont beleive in the bible or God, then how is it do as i say or else, youd have to beleive in this concept first or else how could it apply as a control method?

 

With respect mate do you know much about the bible have you read it?

Could you explain to me how the bible could control people back then, when it was wrote hundreds of years apart by men who didnt even know each other, remember there was no www, or phones etc an only compiled into one several hundred years ago.

 

 

Back in the day when folk were writing bits of the bible life was chaotic. I assume those that were trying to bring some order were doing so for good reasons?

Anyhow, one way of doing that is to threaten the general populous with everlasting damnation if they misbehave themselves, thus "believe in this or" came about.

This concept must have caught on between the wise men in the towns and villages across the years and was developed over time.

 

I havent read the bible, to be honest anything more then two paragraphs, i click off.

 

It is however interesting how a book which was wrote all those years ago has prevailed until this day.

I dont dismiss them, i respect them mate, ive done my research into all of them, an came to the conclusion that the bible an the God of the bible is the one true God, thats just my opinion i came to over four to five years of research.

How do you know it was chaotic?

Infact the men that wrote the bible were normal men, men of great faith, they didnt control anything, actually some of them were inprisoned, some were killed.

 

How can you have a valid opinion on something which youve never read? Your just going by hearsay.

Heres a question for you, if it was all bullshit, an just storytelling, how come theres lots of scientific knowledge in the bible, wrote in there only to be discovered thousands of years later by science?

 

Heres one, for the life of the flesh is in the blood, bible tells us that our blood is the life an without it your brown bread, i think it was george washington that blood was drained by his doctor an he died, if they had read the bible he might not of died.

 

How do we find out about our bodies an dicease, blood tests, thats just one of the many scientific facts wrote in the bible thousands of years ago.

Remove any major function of the body and things tend to go pear shaped. Even folk a few thousand years ago could figure that one out. After all, they tried just about every permutation of it.
