Catholics also are told they have to do works to get to heaven, actually all other religons say you have to do works to get to heaven, except christianity.

 

No works will ever get you to heaven, you cant work your way to heaven, bible says only way to heaven is if you beleive in the lord an what he sacraficed for us.

Think about it this way, if you dont beleive in the bible or God, then how is it do as i say or else, youd have to beleive in this concept first or else how could it apply as a control method?

Could you explain to me how the bible could control people back then, when it was wrote hundreds of years apart by men who didnt even know each other, remember there was no www, or phones etc an only compiled into one several hundred years ago.

Anyone with an ounce of scientific thinking behind them will consider the fact that there is a high possibility of other life in the universe. If this is true, some of that life may have been around a lot longer than humans.

I just don't get why religious folk are so hell bent on trying to convince the rest of us.

Commandments ,now there's a word .Dictators all over the world have used that one to control the masses .I live by no commandments just human decency but your saying they are there anyway in the back of my mind from your bible ,a good angle too lol.Not trying to rub you up the wrong way but bad times in my life have only served to make me stronger ,not turn to ,well whatever you turned to .Got go now ,out to break a few commandments lol.
