king 12,025 Posted October 27, 2016 Report Share Posted October 27, 2016 I'm a carpenter by trade-worked away for years shopfitting then started with BT laying cable and blowing fibre etc-sick of working away so landed a job for a big irish firm doing groundwork,deep drainage ,steel fixing etc-earn half what I used to but I'm in the house by 4:45 pm and get a few perks lol .to me it's not about money-sooner watch my little uns grow up.atb dc 12hr shifts are evil.more time spent in work than the house/family. Then extra 4 hours are a killer, seems like the last longer than the first 8! Though I remember doing 12 hours shifts ripping out and refurbishing shops in a shopping centre, it was jam packed all day then come 5 it was dead, was actually quite pleasant to work there when no one was around 2 Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Went on the roads 3 years ago doing white lines and cats eyes etc. Just handed my notice in to go working in a lab mixing and testing thermoplastic. Theres money to be made for the smaller lads, but the lightest I've ever been was 87kg and I looked and felt ill, couldn't get any fights at 93-95kg really, unless it was against smaller fighters who've had hundreds of fights 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites
