Mixxy Got Me Perm!

Absolutely gutted. First signs of mixxy on a permission Ive shot for years... I was only there last week and nothing, today I saw 10'ish rabbits with the first signs. Poor rabbits.

 

I know some of you lot have it around your permissions, but Ive been a bit spoilt really. This is the first time its popped up for years around my area.

Good good. It's not really about me being homo towards not having rabbits to shoot for the table, it's more about the rabbits welfare in general.

take out the mixy ones now before it gets most of them

 

shot 32 on one of my perms and only 5 keepers in two nights

 

get then now while its in the early stages

 

as it can wipe the whole lot out

Whoever introduced this disease should hang their head with shame - we are even seeing rabbits hunched up by the road side, just waiting for the inevitable to happen.

i think most of them pull thru it these days and actually start to build an imunity, by shooting the mixy ones you may be making things worse in the long run. if its purley pest control then yeah shoot the buggers aswell as the healthy ones but if its just for the pot you might be better leaving them to build tolerance.

i would also take them out theres a chance they could survive and pass on there immunity but there going to draw every every bit of vermin that can feed on them round them looking for a easy meal . thats why the minute i can take a bag of rabbits im in there getting my share as theres too much that can go wrong if you leave them

went to one off my permissions last sunday havent been for 3 month and farmer told me mixey about as he seen a couple in the dyke the couple i shot had it too got another 2 permissions on either side off this one so not looking good . just glad ive got a golf club and garden centre close by with heaithy rabbits

While I was in Suffolk the last couple of weeks, a chap at the gun shop told me that there was a new variety of mixy that had been recently introduced which was much stronger and quite capable of wiping out whole regions. Now this was the first I had heard of such a thing and don't know if it was total bullsh1t but I hope to god he was wrong.

dropped 2 yesterday both had it... no pics though cos its a grim sight

might borrow my mates n/v and do a night shift, I'm a lamp lad but this won't exactly be a pleasure shoot
