Around the same time (Im quessing) as Ken Gould had Smithy & his type, John Parkes had his successful line of terriers, the likes of Monty, Mick etc Did anyone cross these 2 lines "at that time" ie. Smithy over daughters/sisters to Mick/Monty or Mick /Monty over daughters/sisters to Smithy (not generations later) & if so how did the pups go?

Spartacus was out of Parks bitch to a Gould dog I think

Time dims memory but did Gouldy ever put that in his avertisments for the dog. If he did, i really can't remember...? Spartacus was primarily bred for stud and was heavily advertised as such.

I don't know what was in advert mate, but link below has bit more info and Lahosh from memory was usually bang on.........post #24 on this old thread

From memory that Irish dog was smithy both sides and a lump of dog. Kg one was v small so i understand. And in UK.

Correct me if Im wrong but I checked out both. 1.according to Lahosh: blackjack is out of nigga & eyeball. Nigga out of simon & witch. Eyeball is out of smithy & a staff. 2.according to the terriers & terriermen of ireland: blackjack (in uk) is out of nigger & eyeball. It then states nigger & eyeball are both out of smithy. ???

I wouldn't totally trust what the men say in books. They usually tell the odd fib to put the rosette hunters off track in regards to breeding.

couldnt agree more...I reckon the book is wrong lot of miss prints & name mix ups but then again book could be right. I just want to confirm truth!

The misprints are probably nothing to do with the men interviewed but because of a certain author. Mis-spelling and putting sentences together so they make no sense are prominent in most of a certain authors books.
