Great footballer but they don't always make the best managers.. He went down as a total twat when he sh@gged his brothers missus.. What a twat

Dont do footy but got no respect for him. What sort of Cnut shags his own brothers missus ?? He can go die in a puddle of his own piss for all i care. Atb

Giggs is soooo.....fcuking weak! I mean how could he of been tempted????

Shame to see him go... but if he wants the managers job, then he best start learning his trade down in the lower leagues...

I have know doubt that one day he will manage United

He will have to manage his personal life first. He has also managed a life in the lowest league a brother could go to.

I'm a MAN U fan, born a stone's throw from the ground. I'm glad to see him go. What did he expect? The manager's job as a sort of long service award? Knocking off his brother's wife is low. Rooney is another -knocking off two call girls when his wife was pregnant. Some say a man's private life is nothing to do with his job, but I disagree. These guys are heroes to hundreds of thousands of kids. My hero when I was a kid was Harry Gregg. The guy who twice went back to save people trapped in the flaming remains of the Munich plane. Some difference. All kids are taught to respect now is money and fame. Those who are rich think they can behave as they want and couldn't give a monkey's who they influence along the way.

Yes but as a football fan would you prefer an average player whos an upstanding fine citizen......or a great player whos a bit of a lowlife ?......because all we are is football fans.

If it comes out next week that Dimitri Payet makes love to horses i really dont care as long as he carries on performing as he has for West Ham.... i dont want to be his friend he is a foreign footballer who happens to play for the club i follow theres no relationship between fans and players anymore so what do i care what he does in his private life....i just cant buy this " role models " for kids one either......again,should fantastic footballing talent be thrown out of academies for not minding their p,s and q,s ?.....we all moan football is not the working mans game anymore yet making role models of players just puts even more distance between players and fans i feel so sorry for a lad like Rooney its clear to see he,s a shy timid type of lad who feels so uncomfortable behind a camera yet is forced into this mr nice guy role kids should have family and teachers as role models not sportsmen in my opinion.

I beg to differ, Rooney is not shy or timid. Awkward and incomprehensible in front of a camera maybe but not lacking in confidence. I'll be glad to see him go along with Giggs. (anyway he's scouse).

I think sportsmen who are decent people do a lot of good. Look at Ali for example. He inspired millions of people. People identified with him and he somehow gave them courage. You can identify with guys like 'our Enry', Bobby Moore, Freddie Flintoff , Boycott etc. Not angels but proper blokes. Something sticks in my craw with the likes of Giggs and Rooney. Just Like 'Eastenders', they lower the bar of human behaviour.

He wasnt told to leave he was offered a role in coaching but mourinho brought in his own number 2 and giggs didnt want to play 3rd fiddle which is fair enough on both sides. Wales should put him back in the side to replace ramsey for semi final he would probably still be fit and put in a good shift.

wouldnt have him anywhere near the wales squad . Hardly turned up when he was playing for wales . Missed so many games through injury only to play the next weekend no problem for UTD

Well said I forgot about that mate. Imo he won't do nothing as a manager. Who would trust him????

64 games in 16 years for wales is abysmal when he would have been a starter for every game he was available for . If im honest he was born in wales but i think he feels english . No problem with that , he spent most of his life there but as a welshman it was crap to see him pull out with a hamstring problem then be fine next week

Well i dont know Rooney ( maybe you do in which case fair enough ) but he strikes me as a shy type in interviews......and why shouldnt he be......yes people like Ali/Bobby Moore etc etc were exceptions to the rule and carried themselves very well but come on it shouldnt really matter should it ?.....we all look back with fondness on a time when football was a way of life for the working classes instead of a luxury few people can afford......yet here we are now expecting those working class lads to be upstanding, highly principalled and articulate young citizens its football not the opera we shouldnt give a monkeys what a footballer does off the football pitch.......i,ll ignore the eastenders dig.........for now :D........

1 off my best friends son is really attracting attention from 2 premier league clubs & a championship team , he watches football but can take it or leave it , when clubs started showing serious interest (they where prepared to relocate his whole family , which was turned down Immediatley) he acutely doesn't want his son in what he sees as the pro footballer Enviroment where they carry on as some do , though as I've told him there not all like that & his son is well grounded & a lovely lad who himself since crossing the water going to these clubs has noticed how the some of the kids seem to be different to what he expected attitude wise (arrogance is what he described) . Half of those who act like animals do so probably because they are & do the other half act like that because they believe there own importance & can do as they please being told how WONDERFUL they are from a young age ???

Load of bollox mentioning Ali etc. He just didmt have the coverage there is nowadays.

Giggs was a good player but manager who knows? And why would Manu even consider a man with zero experience other than 8 games as a stop gap at the end of a season that couldnt get worse?

Good on him standing by his guns. I hope he gets a league 1/championship side and does a job.

Regards his brother no one on here knows the whole story so how can you judge?

and no I dont know the story....but thats why I dont judge.

The c*nt had it all and still wanted more. His brother had a family and he took that all away from him, Rhodri's missus was just as bad. Even went on the telly and rubbed it in the mans face the narcasistic b*tch.. Don't know the full story either but know that banging your brothers missus is a total NO NO. I detest the pr*ck. You only had to look at the snidey c*nt when utd where getting beat he would stay away from LVG thinking he would get his job, when winning he would be standing right next to him. Sh*t personality and will not command the respect of players in any team.

Well I agree with the last sentence. I dont think he has the stature or personality to command respect anywhere other than Manu. Did you see him as a pundit tonight? He was no G.Neville!
