There's so much about life, & the 'universe' in which we live, that we have no understanding of.

The Gods, sons of God, prophets of God, etc. are all just man made stories cooked up to make some sense of it all, and used and exploited to manipulate/control/befriend others.

The worlds main religions are all pretty much brand new in the grand scheme of things. Take Christianity, only a couple of thousand years ago, God sent his 'son' to let us know he exists. You couldn't make that shit up, the only thing harder to believe is why over 2 billion people have bought that.

Edited to add; if God reads this post, I was only joking⛪️

Young in the grand scheme of things, how old do you think this place is?

An God never sent his son, to let us know he exists, he was sent to die on the cross for our sins so if we trust in him we'll be saved, plus to defeat Lucifer an death by resurrecting on the third day, your pretty misguided on Christianity mate.,

But the resurrection is referring the the winter solstice...after 3 days the Sun or son shall be resurrected. ..they knicked that of the pagans lol

Spring equinox mate, just a few days between that and easter, simular with xmas just a few days after the winter solstice  ..

thats here in the uk but It's depends on where your are in the world Australia for example have the dead opposite equinoxes to us ...in the winter solstice the Sun reaches its lowest point of rise and reaches that low point for 3 days after that it starts climbing higher and higher with each passing day as we move into spring hence the resurrection

So would we have known about your God if Jebus hadn't been 'sent'? All the rest about salvation etc. is based on little more than hearsay and blind faith.., perpetrated by a hierarchy of myth peddlers.

Misguided on Christianity I might be, but not as much as you are misguided by it.

Easter's date is decided by the moon.. The actual date of Easter Sunday is the first Sunday after the first full moon after the spring equinox every year.

Yes pesky, the saviour Jesus is prophesied throughout the o.t, an salvation is threw Jesus, he said no one comes to the father but by me, if you trust in Jesus your saved, that's it, no other way, free gift mate, nothing you can do to earn it.

Fair enough mate atb

It's odd because over the years my opinions have changed, part of being an agnostic I suppose? The alien route has some merit and is plausible, but then begs the question how did the aliens develop? The simple truth of the matter is anyone can choose to believe what they like, and no one can disprove them. If believing in an omnipotent god gives you the strength to live from day to day in a good way, then no one, no matter what they believe should knock a person for that belief.

Bit silly still is'nt it lol

Would thinking up any random belief be just as acceptable to you, like worshiping an empty shoe box or something.

If it gives people strength then all the power too them. But it was a shit stupid question, and totally out of context in this thread.

Seems to me the only people who seem to worry about the existence or none existence of god are those who don't believe, if you don't believe don't be concerned and leave those who do believe, to believe in at their leisure without having to explain their beliefs to non believers
