If it's a forestry it will have somebody controlling deer mate, he will most probably have permission as poaching with a firearm will get you in big trouble! Lol if he was poaching he would of kept his mouth shut and melted away, not confront you. Jmho

For starters, somebody owns the wood, and for seconds, any guy getting physical carrying a firearm is due a knock on the door from his local firearms officer.....

I have the same issues with muntys in a local wood, they can be a pain in the arse!

I'm not bothered about them chasing deer fox hares whatever, there not quick enough it lasts about 30 seconds and they give up. There slow not in anyway like a whippet greyhound. I let them cos I no nothing will happen it tires them out. Even if it 2 legs I doubt they would catch it tbh. OK maybe it was my fault then I didn't think about deer control. He didn't explain just shouted he's mouth off.

The size of the c##t with the gun aswell probably could of knocked me round the field a few times was glad to walk off tbh

He wasn't activly hunting the deer (or it can't be proved he was anyway) so no law was broken, just a accident that happens all over the land with all sorts of people and dogs every day..2 roe for me today and thank feck for heavy plough as it would have got emotional with the dog pulling one of those in the certain farm yard i was skirting around today  ..

Was walking my dogs today off the lead like usual in the forest middle of no where no one really goes there to be honest. It literally is the middle of no where. My 2 chased a muntjac I wernt bothered I new they wouldn't catch it there far to slow and they will eventually come back

. Anyway i carry on walking a bloke steps out the trees having a go saying he was about to shoot it and I f****d it up for him.i new full well he was poaching it's a neutral forest no one owns it no one can have permission. Looking online it's a forestry not farm land anyone can go there. Anyway I apologised and walked off leaving it at that, dogs leading the way they went straight for a fallen tree pulled a rabbit out a few hundred yards up. They shook it and what ever I picked it up for the ferret at home.

He's following and giving it more this time telling me I should have the dogs on the lead and f**k off to where I came from. "5 mins down the road" it got heated between us a few words exchanged and a bit of pushing and shoving but nothing to messy. My question is would you still go there and carry on doing what you were doing even if he's there and could get more heated everytime or find somewhere else to go? Would u tell anyone about the poaching he's doing? I'm not a grass but I think it takes the piss

Think I would of said what I had to say and if he carried on he would of copped an unfortunate one

If it's the sort of place where he has permission to hunt and, people are allowed to freely pass through or walk dogs, surely common sense says that he should have put some sort of sign out to advise visitors of his presence.

As far as him becoming physical - I'd like to say 'put him on his arse' but, that's easy to say when I wasn't there. After all, no one wants to discover the next Michael Ryan.

His aggressive attitude and the fact that he put his hands on you while he had a rifle should be reported.

Also, as already said, avoid dawn and dusk - it that tit isn't there, there can't be a problem.

as already said. Chin the c##t! but it's easy to say that when not actually there. I personally wouldn't let anyone ruin where you walk. If he pops out again tell him to f**k off, if he continues politely remind him that aggravated assault with a firearm carries alot of bird. Then just stand back and watch his balls shrink.

ATB and happy hunting
