Guest vin
Hello all. I was uploading a video clip from my phone and when I 1st watched it,I thought oh yes another easy quick catch from the young dog whilst bolting for the dogs blah blah. . . nothing exciting really and just another one of many clips I've collected. But when I paused it and watched it frame by frame ( out of sheer boredom ) I saw a completely different event. 7 short seconds of a mad flurry becomes a real interesting moment in time and a real eye opener for what must happen many times without me even seeing it. Watch the 1st clip and then the second and see for yourself how many strikes of the jaw from the blue dog are taken and how the bunny is a master of jink and jive that i still find amazing after years of catching them.. what wonderful little critters they really are. 1st clip normal speed etc etc. http://vid1210.photobucket.com/albums/cc414/vincevoxbox/IMG_2688_zpskna7njho.mp4 2nd clip..slowed down a lot. http://vid1210.photobucket.com/albums/cc414/vincevoxbox/IMG_2697_zpsmpbiorxi.mp4 Quote Link to post

MickyB 327
Just seeing the rabbits movement how it dodges the young dogs jaws is brilliant it must make 3 or 4 dodges until the older dog comes in, all in the space of a couple of seconds that we would never notice without slow mo. Cracking vid mate you should try and get some more its interesting to see it so differently or to see what's actually happening. Atb Mick Quote Link to post
boyo 1,398
Excellent vid & fantastic to see in slow motion how rbt evades the jaws & as you say fantastic quarry. Been hunting them 40 +years & still love it. Just out of interest how old is older dog as still looks very sharpe. Atb Quote Link to post
Lab 10,979
Great wee clip. Let's you understand how hard dogs have to work to take a hold. Looked like the rabbit went from forward to reverse in a split second...? 1 Quote Link to post

We have certainly had a lot of fun over the last 6 seasons..It might even sound daft, but she gets better all the time. What she lacks in pace she makes up for in brains., she still puts the young dogs to shame on many days out. roybo 2,873
It puts it into perspective, seeing it in slow motion, how a rabbit can turn on a sixpence and how quick a dogs reactions have got to be, 1st class vin Quote Link to post
