Just the 6hr journey back. To go with the 7hr trip there. The fecking M5 is a sh1t motorway. I feel for Jim and Bob, much farther to travel then me. Some effort to drive all the way from Scotland. Top

Looking forward to this I am, good craic, good food and drink, a bit of fishing and a bit of money raised for charity.   See you all there.

I wasnt practising walshie honest :icon_redface: .I was merely checking out the venue so that i could pass on information to anyone who wants it.

But how do we know the info you pass on will be accurate? :hmm: You'll have us all fishing with 30lb line straight through to a 2/0 hook 3" below a quill float.

We've got the lake and camping for free, £20 each for the pot to fish is usual?

We'll be having the usual after match stuff and plenty of cider necessary :D

Cheers, D.

The fishing is free dave but im not sure about the camping. I have yet to confirm with martin about this. It wont be much though.

There are shops nearby,a pub just up the road, a tesco two minutes drive away,

there is no running water on site but i can fetch a container of water for drinks etc.

if anyone requires a shower we can nip down to one of the local campsites where a shower is 20p for about three minutes or you can nip up to mine

I am going to try and fetch a generator and set up some lighting. There is a lidl not too far away if you want to do a big shop.Padstow is a couple

of minutes drive away. You will need to bring bait as the nearest coarse fishing tackle shop is a fair way away

If anyone needs to know anything else feel free to ask

Went to dust my fishing gear off and heard some movement in the shed... bloody mice had got into my fishing gear and chewed holes in the nets then got into the rucksack and opened all the pellet and ground bait bags.

Tess got one as I was shifting stuff out and another got out the back through a loose slat.

Popped a trap down in there and had a mouse every night so far for 6 nights. All on the same little bit of Mars bar too!

Bought a new 18" Drennan Speedex landing net and another keepnet. for £35 so not too bad. Collected what was left of the pellets and ground bait from the bottom of the rucksack and threw it all together, should be enough left to feed some fish up hopefully!
