That really is ridiculous I'm as anti-imperialist as anyone but the Falklands have nothing to do with imperialism, they were unihabited before the British settlers arrived and they've been the sole inhabitants since. They even had a referendum recently asking whether they wanted to stay under British rule, 99.8% voted Yes. If you respect democracy and the right to self determination you have to accept the Falklands are British. The British government had a duty to protect the British citizens on the Falklands when the Argentinians invaded and they did just that.
