whenever phil wrote "this was sent in by a fancier" it was more often than not himself writing his own views to stir up a bit of a debate. i knew the man well and had the full belly brother to his "chalky" (grim reaper) bitch. i'll dig some pics out of most of the bedlamite dogs if you want...

JMHO but they'd add to a terrier, size (maybe 25lbs or so) lack of nose and lack of gameness. I dare anyone to say different. The EBT is a showbred cur, that's the simple truth.

If you read them gladiator mags, you would have come across an e.b.t. mentioned called "tugboat". he was pictured pulling an old ford cortina estate across the local green...i went up to birmingham and saw this dog in the flesh with phil. the animal wasn't right in the head. it looked like it had been given a 3/4 dock, then the owner tells me it had been chasing it's tail then when it caught hold of it, bit it off! also grabbed his daughter by her coat, took her into his kennel, the refused to let anyone near it!!! also held phil in his own shed when he had it round his to condition it and gave it a bone....i was green as grass when i was around them, but it taught me a valuable lesson...them e.b.t's and dogs carrying their blood are second rate when it comes to the work expected of "bull and terriers" if you catch my drift...

Had a brindle German bred mini but I think he may have been mentally ill. He was really dog aggressive, when he saw a dog he tried to bite and hold the neck of the dog no matter how big. Got bit by a huge Dutch shepherd that realized he wasn't right and was laying on his back wagging his tail as fast as he could. We pulled them apart and all he wanted was to go back towards this dog that obviously would have killed him. He was big for a mini I think 15" and 35 pounds. With people he was real nice but he couldn't deal with the environment. He was scared of every noise and any movement outside unless he seen another dog then he didn't take note of anything. Sometimes you could get him fixated on a ball or something but as soon as he was out of drive his character fell together like a house of cards. Ended up living in the middle of nowhere with a single guy who lives out on the land alone but he also says if you take the dog anywhere where there is other people or dogs he's a wreck
