neil cooney 10,416
To me it looked like a Bullmastiff cross or similar. My mates Boerboels are 6 stone at 4 months. That dog looked too racey. well any breed of dog over 100lb going to get bad hips+ elbows , HD was very bad in bullmastiffs, and there temps were to docile, they why I came out of the breed, you spend more time at the vets with them . the B/mal I reckon if well bred would make hell of a guard dog, after seeing them on the vids. they don't loose there hold and got very strong jaw and strong dogs for there size. lets face it a bite of a farm collie would fekin hurt never mind a 70lb B/mal , and be more healthy and vicious than most boerboels . I have no idea about the health of the Boerboel (Farmers Bulldog in South African) and nor do I want to. I spent years around Pit Bulls and had them 60 lbs + and I was never intimidated by one. But those Boerboels are intimidating to say the least. If one turned on me I wouldn't know where to start and even if there was a gun nearby you couldn't drag him towards it, LOL. But I do know one of my friends first stud dogs was one of the highest rated dogs outside of SA by the Boerboel club. He also has Caucasian Sheppard's and they're as equally intimidating. If that video was South American it might just be a good ol' Pit Bull or a PB cross.

In my experience anything much above 60/65 lb pit bull wise you start to lose a lot of intensity and desire.........personally id rather have a 100lb Mastiff hanging off my arm than a 40 lb pit bull.....the dog in that video looks like it was blowing out of its arse after about 3 minutes like most things fatigue will more than likely make a dog quit faster than a clump round the nut with a bat in my opinion.....but i wouldnt really know a good guard dog from a bad one if im honest so dont jump down my throat if im wrong Edited December 21, 2015 by gnasher16

downsouth 8,210
That dog in the video was a bag of shit regardless of weather it was fit or not.If a proper protection/property guard 9ver 100lb gets hold of you there is no fighting it off.Youve probably got between 5 to 10 seconds before you go into shock when it starts mangling whatever part of you it gets hold of.
