Peterborough Show The Weekend

Recommended Posts

Yes lets remember that has nothing at all and i mean nothing at all to do with us, we are totally separate from the champion of champion's,we have no say in it and absolutely nothing to do with how its ran, its held at the show ground, we do not hold it, it was agreed to be held on the show ground a long time before we ever took over the main show!

Please try to remember, that this was fundraiser for Lurcher Link, a much needed and well deserved cause

well done to Kaye and team.

lets remember this was a supeream champion of champions were the dogs should of been gone over with a fine toothed Combe atb

why should the dogs be gone over with a fine tooth comb? the dogs had previously been judged and given a B.I.S albeit another judge so someone reckon they were sound, the 4 judges 2of which you think marked your dog down, did the other 2 judges give you maximum points? If so I'd say you had a point OR did they find something the others did not find? the winner had won a champion of champions prior to yesterdays show under different judges

what a load of shit i took my bushing pup up for a walk about he only ever mixed with his litter mates and my other two so thought good opportunity to settle him in and mix it up for the day, horses sheep ferrets plenty other dogs bang on,well feck me i stood watching the simulated for 1/2 hour and that was 25 min to long i gave him a firm telling to shut the feck up as he tried to sing in chorus with all the poxy show lurchers howling the moment the lure was released, took him away for a wonder then went back to watch again,he barked i told him off he shut up and there he sat quitely watching,i can only imagine what bettersea must sound like, in car and home another show not to be repeated.

it was a total joke never again should never of let lúrcher link run any champion of champions 2 lads pulled out of the working lúrcher championship it was a scream to watch
i understand you travelled a few miles to get there, rather you than me mate either way atb
you would of laughed at my score cards the drop in points in 2 judges

they all in it together mate, nothing changes

I judged it for two years , once alone, doing the overs and once as a member of a team of judges, no one influenced my choices.

I cant grasp why you are having a pop at Lurcher Link, you've been told twice they have no say in the showing or judging.

This is what the shows have come to a beauty contest lol

Hi Mr Taylor,

The show was ran back in 2000 by The East of England Lurcher Club when it first started off with Penny Taylor and Andrew Stainton which I won with my black bitch Shakira in 2004 and reserve supreme in 2007,which to this day no other dog has done. I was asked by Andrew if I would like run it, so I took it over in 2011 which has been a great honour for me, I put my own money in to run The Supreme with rosettes and trophies.

The winner of The Supreme also won The Champion of Champions in North Wales and also The Midlands.

The judges are picked a year in advance this also very hard to try and find good judges who will do it for nothing, I have judged it twice one with 4 judges and again with 6 which in my eyes was too many.

Pat.

I too have judged it , it was an honour to have been asked, but I think , and it's only my opinion, but having 4 judges to run over 14 dogs is too much, 1 judge should be sufficient of doing the championship, be an idea that the judge still uses the points system on all the dogs
