Quite right we're not and you're only in the Opposition in case you didn't know. P.S. LOVE your grey complexion. unlacedgecko 1,467
Luckily no one listens to the loony socialist left Don't underestimate their appeal. After all many people said Corbyn would never be elected. This appointment is a cynical attempt to take votes from the Green Party. The unions will get behind Corbyn/McDonell. He is appealing to Irish republicans with his belief in a united Ireland. Every anti-establishment student, anarchist and plenty of champagne socialists will vote for him as well. A Labour SNP coalition next election would be truely dangerous...
charlie caller 3,654
So I wonder if the fuc*ing crackpots are going to be targeting their pet darlings that practice Halal slaughter, run a campaign to stop them eating meat, and also end the practice of Halal slaughter?I think we all know the answer to that one, this lunatic bitch needs swamping with letters and emails supporting her in her war against we dweadful meat eating neanderthal's, emphasising the need to run a huge campaign against the mudslimes, no prizes for guessing the result of that one chaps.

kanny 21,762
What these cranks don't realise is that if we all turned veggie it would only lead to more damaging intensive farming to supply us with the protein we need to live ...They really are a bunch of short sighted fuk nuts! ... I wonder how much land it would take to supply the same amount of say soya protein as the protein that's in 1 cow. Atb kanny

I wonder how much land it would take to supply the same amount of say soya protein as the protein that's in 1 cow. Atb kanny I think plant based foods are 4 times less intensive on the land than animal protein based foods, calorie for calorie. Whether we like it or not vegetarianism does seem better for the environment. That doesn't take into account the actual impact on the environment though, just how productive arable and livestock is in calories per acre. But that's all it has going for it, the health arguments based on life expectancy stats get blown to bits when analysed properly, correcting for all the other factors associated with the general meat eating demographic. Coming back to the environment, is it even conclusive that the methane produced from factory farming cattle has any significant effect on climate change?

Coming back to the environment, is it even conclusive that the methane produced from factory farming cattle has any significant effect on climate change? No. Also, the figure, it takes 4 kilos of grain to produce 1 kilo of beef (that's the one you are thinking of, so beloved by veggie campaigners) is based on finishing cattle in an intensive US style feed lot. Most cattle production in the UK is done on pasture, and I've yet to meet a vegetarian who eats grass! Also, it's all very well saying we must live off plants etc, but what kind of plant (suitable for human consumption) are you gonna grow on a hill farm?
