socks 32,253
Brilliant that ... I used to love watching the TV series with his father on their safari park and how they were breeding to put back in the wild ... The old boy had cancer that was eating away his face and every few episodes the bandages and plasters would cover more of his face ... Tough old boy fair play ....... bird 10,014
Some power, looked like he was just draggin a coat behind him.You woildnt last long if one of them meant you some harm. and yet they don't attack people etc , hell of a lot power in them, even chimps could do a lot of damage to a man, and there only 1/4 size of a silver back . dare 1,103
Gave me goosebumps watching that, beautiful story and moment to have captured on film. Amazing the bond you can get with animals. Wouldnt mind spending a month volunteering to help at a park or rescue place getting dirty n up close with em. Trouble is the countries arent safe enough for me to think about visiting. Closest ill get i guess is london zoo, not been there in years.

gnasher16 31,602
People dont " need " big muscles, gorillas do......nothing to do with protein genetics is what gave them the size/strength they have.......cant remember the last time i saw a gorilla with a pigeon chest and skinny little forearms and for the most part they sit around eating so not as if they work out to get the Popeye look is it
