stealthy1 3,964
I've shot Hare's with airguns that had bullets in them, and plenty of rabbits, one had 2 bullets in it. Lucky it didn't die of lead poisoning Quote Link to post

Hang on for a bit and I'm sure someone who's an "expert" will come along explaining how a lead pellet can drop any animal with a clinical head shot................ 1 Quote Link to post
smithie 2,444
i once shot a hare with a shotgun and i never hit it clean as 1, im a crap shot and 2 we was shooting of a pick up and the farmer expects you to shoot on the move. i found the noise/cry disturbing as it was the first time i had injured rather than killed a hare. stick to netting them now.. It's not the gun or it power, it's the person that pulls the trigger that dictates how long it takes for his chosen quarry to die, some people just pull the trigger and don't give a f**k, but some folk care what happens after they pull the trigger, and whether the shot was really on at all. Which is why I shot the Hare once with an airgun, but some one else shot it twice with a gun deemed fit for the purpose and failed on both counts. 1 Quote Link to post

mark williams 7,568
If any game/ vermin is "wanted" for the table on a regular basis you will find it for sale in all the leading superstores. When did you last see Hare for sale in ASDA . Stayed at my best mates "nine`s" welsh for grandma, in Bodfari 40 years ago. She got a knock on the door and she bought a hare . She cooked it up for the next night`s tea, the house fecking stunk and we were both left "heaving for Wales" when we tried it . I can still smell and taste that fecker Edited July 21, 2015 by mark williams 1 Quote Link to post
