Leeview 792
England, Wales and Scotland The shooting of game at night is not permitted. Ground game (rabbit and hare – which is subject to a close season in Scotland) may be shot at night by an occupier of land or one other person authorised by the occupier, with the permission of the holder of the shooting rights under Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 Schedule 7, unless the occupier has the exclusive rights. But you cant shoot them on Sundays or Christmas Not all landowners have the sporting rights, I know of land being sold but the seller kept the sporting rights. Which basically means he (the landowner )can name one person to control vermin NOTHING else, whereas the sporting rights owner has access to this land to take game in season as and when he wants by law Y.I.S Leeview 2 Quote Link to post

Wildling 520
Why would you want to shoot Hares? I'm with the dog lads on this and think a Hare deserves better than a rifle lamping it! Just my thoughts. Edit: spelling 1 Quote Link to post

treecreeper 1,136
I dont shoot hares but if that's what the owner asks, you either do the job or they give it to someone else and they can't grant perm for a dog. 3 Quote Link to post
