It's the donuts that kennel their same sex dogs together, feed them together, give them bones together that come unstuck, why would you purposely set yourself and your dogs up for failure just so you can say to people "I know my dogs" "My dogs would never so that" how the f**k can you possibly tell what's gonna happen lol eejits....one day it will happen, bet they won't be on here telling lads what happened tho

When I was younger I remember being told once by a wise man to "never trust a terrier" and no truer word spoken, a great bit of advice I will never forget. After a quick think I don't know anyone off the top of my head that keeps terriers kennelled together. Mine get on well in the yard like manys a mans dogs but that's were it stops. It's a bad move that's easy to make.

On a more serious note,i would not trust my terriers to kennel them doubled up,not even mixed,dogs-bitchs,only this eve as i was cleaning out kennells,3 of them were out in the run at front of kennells i also had some chickens out lose and when the terriers seen them they went mad,2 bitchs,1 dog and within a few seconds they were into each other,2 bitchs at it hard and the dog running in grabbing at both of them,chickens were 30 yds away in the garden but it still got them started.I find that terriers in the winter time are far less aggresive as they are been worked and kept busy where as now although they are exercised its not the same and they get bored in my opinion and also become more aggresive towards each other,just my take on it,maybe its the type i keep others could be different.Ther is no way i could have mine like Dillydog,imagine 1 person trying to seperate that lot if they kicked off.

Maybe I and my family are in the minority but we all keep terriers (not digging dogs anymore) but they are all workers with lurchers and have been of mixed type over the years. Had Russell's mainly, but also borders and various xs none of them have been scrappy (excluding 1 Russell bitch) yes they won't tolerate being messed about but nothing serious has ever been noted. I am not talking about a few dogs over a few years. I am talking 3 generations of family over 60 odd years, I put this down to a few things. All these dogs were out at least 2 x a day and exercised well, worked all year round in some form and simply they weren't breed from scrappy dogs. I find it sad when I wander about these shows and you see terriers snarling away at each other looking for trouble, not all terriers are like this and before anyone suggests these terriers in my family are soft I can assure your some might be some standards but most weren't. Kennelling any dogs together is a risk no question but let's not underestimate the benefits of kennelling a pack animal together, maybe one day my thoughts will change I hope not atb

Mine are fine in the winter, but that's probably because they can channel their attention elsewhere. Also what I think a lot of people miss is that during the winters the dogs are usually penned up or out with you, whereas with the better weather in the summer they spend a lot more time in each others company lounging in the garden etc.
