The only way the Russians could take the UK is if they took most of western Europe first. Without advanced carrier battle groups they can't fight that sort of conflict a thousand miles from any of their bases. Our subs would terrify their navy and even if they landed all 30000 airborne on our islands, without air support they're f****d. Besides most of their airborne are "on holiday" in eastern Ukraine! Russia would walk all over us nowdays If we didn't have the backing of America And as iv said it won't take many Nuclear bombs to lay waste to this little Island. I don't play games, never have. And it doesn't take many warheads with advanced delivery systems to make any nuclear aggressor decide it ain't worth wiping us from history. To then have his forces flattened by the US. Putin might show resolve and a very intuitive tactical mind but the Russians are anything but indefeatable. Putin is rightly pissed off with the Ukraine as Europe has been trying to intice them to join. He does not want us or our masters USA on his borders. Simple as that. If Russia did try to invade us, it would go nuclear, we would have no choice and thats what its there for, to defend us. Having said that, i think our old worn out nucs would be far better used on syria/iraq or any other shithole country that homes isis like scum. Putin can get as shirty as he likes by acting the tough guy and picking easy little fights with the neighbours - its all done for the benefit of making him look like hes in a position of strength and keeping him in power. The major wars of the future wont be fought out on massive battlefields by thousands of troops, they will be fought at meetings of heads of state and their finance ministers.. We are all treated like fools and most of us act the part too. there is a possible war with multiple nations and very few are prepared. I just enjoy my life and I hope I can continue to do that but if I have to fight I am lightly prepared and with a bit of luck me and my loved ones will get by... All the bullshit with Russia just comes down to money dont it like all wars? Those at the top use the media to make us all think in a certain way and get our support then we go to war and loose lives. How much is a life worth? Surely itll serve us all better to think we're all the same at the end of the day and would do better if we come together. Im not deluded and a left wing prat who thinks the same about Islam dont get me wrong. We're people at the end of the day though and the rich only serve themselves.
