Bosun11 537
Jack Elam was bloody good in the Canonball Run too! As for modern westerns, Silverado is good, as is Unforgiven but give me John Wayne or early Clint films anyday..! Edited to add.... Lonesome Dove... Wow!

Truther 1,579
Pat Garret and Billy the kid, realistic western, and brilliant soundtrack by Dylan, soundtrack grossed more than the film
Frann 882
Val Kilmer was real good as Doc in Tombstone. The most recent modern western I saw was Django Unchained (Tarantino movie). It was better than his last one (Death Car or something?)

Mickey Finn 3,081
No country for old men had a brutal ending I read the book aswell I was disappointed with it. All the pretty horses is very good Cormac McCarthy (the writer) never heard of a happy ending. Broken Trail with Robert Duval was another good one I think.
peterhunter86 8,627
I wasn't looking for a happy ending it just didn't make any sense same with the road a big lead up to nothing if I was to choose it would be all the pretty horses that was great from start to finish
