If you buy in a dog to lamp rabbits and find out it either physically carnt catch them, or mentally doesn't want to,The owner should give up take up another sport simulated coursing agility or move hes family to another part of the country where rabbits are slower? Come on.

Should i write to fifa and get them to change the rules so its easier for me to play?

Life is far too short, to base your happiness on the performance of a poxy dog...

I think that you are right there Trenchfoot..   Unfortunately, some folk don't quite get it,...they get a wee bit confused.com.

It depends on the owner. If they want an average dog, so be it. If they want a top class dog they will keep trying until they get it. BUT !! Many owners will NEVER have a good dog, because THEY are no

I know where your coming from, but it depends what level you expect to reach, and which position you want to play.

My thought's are this....You hunt with a dog to catch game...If that dog doesn't catch game then no amount of "good course but a shame it didn't catch" is going to wash. Granted you miss a few but at what stage do you draw the line?? The pleasure is in the hunt?? Maybe it is...but at the end of the day you want a catch. 50/50 catch and miss would be average ??? Start dropping below that and you'll have less than average ?? Obviously some tasks are going to produce more catches than others but there comes a point when so many misses are going to piss you off. Yes you love your dog. yes it gets you out for a few hours. But coming home knowing the dog could have done better nearly every time is going to leave a bitter taste. Likes been said. You can feed a bad un as well as a good un. The question still remains. How long are you going to put up with a less than average performance.

Even then, you can give the dog a pat when he comes back from hes 5th miss on the trot, but a dog picks up you aint happy ,you soon end up with strained relationship.

Unless you know the dog person you cannot judge.

You certainly cannot believe given time it always ends in fairy tales.

When you know you know simples.

stick with it mate i made the mistake of getting rid of a dog which was exactly like yours i knew he had it in him because some of the catches i had seen him make and the do or die attatuide he had sometimes but after i gave him away because he wasnt performing 100% all the time (he was only 2 at this time ) i had him back as he wouldnt settle in new home, i thought id give him 1 last chance and well f**k me ever since then he has not put a foot wrong and he is one of if not the best dog i have owned but thats only going off this last season so looking forward to this season when he will hopefully suprise me again, atb

I kept a dog that couldn't catch a fecking cold and was an absolute nut case for about 7 years and never again, I could see the brittany cross heading the same way of driving me to despair so we parted ways. If a dog isn't a world beater but tries and you like the dog then why not keep it. It only has its owner to please at the end of the day.
