She speaks her mind because she's in a position to. Never get sacked or her hand slapped because who's going to do it?? The only reason most folk in high places don't speak their mind is simply the fact that they will be hounded out of their position whatever that may be.

 

Personally I'd say the Royals are as concious of public opinion as anybody in a formal position. They have to be for the future of the Monarchy, and in todays Britain public opinion is the only thing keeping them in their positions. The difference imo is that they hold traditional British values at the very heart of what defines them. God bless them.
