Watching it now; what idiot would put two starving dogs in a small kennel and give them ONE bowl of food ? No wonder a kennel fight started ! Then the woman dog warden who is scared of dogs ! FFS !!!

What a pair of stupid c*nts them 2 women wer they was practically strangling that poor Akita x .... Them 2 need their fcuking p45

The mong who came down from his flat to get his girlfriends staffy shouldn't be allowed to live, never mind own a dog !

Neems, I cant quote at the moment as I am not on google chrome but to answer your question, the amendments to the DDA that came into law today are the ones about it extending into private properties and maximum custodial sentences going up including attacks on assistance dogs. I have to say that whilst watching the programme I did find myself cringing when the woman was dealing with the Akita, especially when she tried to say that the dog had just over heated when it was plain to see that the poles had restricted the airway, she would have been better off being truthful and when she was screaming and panicking when dealing with the Akita, that's one way to wind the dog up even more than it was. I must say that I wasn't overly impressed when she said that the Akita was the worst dog she had seen, its living in its own s**t, has two women panicking looking through the window with a back up film crew, I'ld get defensive, who wouldn't. Also to put two unsocialised dogs like those in the same kennel without a run and trapdoor, having to move them about on poles just to clean the kennels........... school boy errors everywhere. Not very impressive at all. Easy to judge and all but not good.

Laughable folk complaining about the poor akita being strangled how many of you would have done anything different would you be so brave with that thing gyrating on the end of your arm, i think not. True the wardens had about the same IQ as the subhuman mongs that owned them dogs, but bear this in mind how many attacks are attributed to staffys and ebt. pit bull types seems to me that some people on this site have a degree of sympathy, and refuse to face the facts that these types do have an underlying high degree of agression in their nature.

Got in from work at 11, so didn't watch it but reading this I'm gobsmacked that any of you thought it'd be any different.... What did you expect????

As far as I can see, a bit of exposure to the cretins that own 'status' dogs, takes a bit of pressure off us... Yep, let the world see who is responsible for not being responsible!

Clamp down, take the dogs off 'em, put the critters down and fine the retards to feck because its those that are doing all the damage...

Keepitcovert, when using catch poles the airway can be restricted but she tried to say that the dog had just over heated when it was obvious that the airway had become restricted. Also that dog was not dominant aggressive at all, she panicked, wanted the situation to be over as quickly as possible and dragged the dog out. I am not judging her at all, but the over heating excuse was not good, just be honest about it  You have lumped staffies, EBT and pit bull types all in the same group and that is part of the problem with the media, so do they and that is just totally inacurate

Fact is mate had that dog slipped that loop it was more than capable of killing her, i havent lumped all staffy bull types in the same group i am not a staffy hater, what i hate is the dicks that own one as a fashion item, or or as an ego exercise, most of the pricks round here that own them couldnt punch their way out of a paperbag.

I get more annoyed with the likes of RSPCA/SSPCA etc when I see programs like this.

They spend so much time harassing hunting folk who's dogs are looked after impeccably, a huge amount of time devoted to them and aloud to do the job they were bred for keeping them fit and stimulated.

They couldn't give a f**k about all these wannabe drug dealers pumping out pups in filthy conditions.

Makes me mad.

That junkie with the 10 pups highlights the problem, £60 a piece 'to anyone who will have them' I bet 90% of them pups end up in a rescue centre.

I didn't the program was that minus the dog wardens and some of the owners. Was good to see the Pitbull terrier not getting a mention if it had been on the BBC all those "dangerous" dogs would of been Pitbull types.

Why didn't the dog warden take the pups of the smack rat?

What a complete joke! You got that plonker creating the atmosphere for a fight in the kennel with them two ridgebacks giving them one bowl of food between them.. Then those two women took that Akita to the point of exhaustion before dragging it out the house almost choking it unconscious. Surely these people must undertake some training with dogs and showed some competence before being allowed to tackle these situations? To me it seemed as if most of them were clueless and shouldn't be near animals.
